Full Build

Notes Deals the most amount of damage possible with abilities, as you are almost always using abilities over auto attacks.

You have Protector Of The Jungle and The Crusher to fill up downtime, as the attack speed is very underrated when your abilities are down.

Magi's Revenge is an optional replacement for The Crusher if you prefer that style.

Introduction

Hey, my name is AutoSpeed and I have been a Grandmaster + 3500 (MMR cap) in Conquest, Joust, and Duel in every recent season. I'm happy to share my knowledge of the game with everyone, and I appreciate any and all feedback!

Here are my channels:

Bastet Basics

Bastet's Abilities

Passive - Nightstalker

Bastet gains life steal when hitting enemies, and enemy gods are revealed upon taking damage from Bastet.

Nightstalker is useful for minor sustain, but the ability to reveal enemies gives her an upper hand against stealth characters.

Ability 1 - Pounce

Bastet pounces, damaging enemies in a circle. She gains movement speed, and can return to her original location by reactivating the ability.

Pounce is her signature ability - she jumps in, deals damage, and jumps out. It will be your main ability for your hit-and-run style gameplay.

Ability 2 - Razor Whip

Bastet swipes her enemies, causing them to bleed for damage over time.

This is Bastet's main damage ability, used on cooldown to clear and damage enemy gods. Use in combination with Pounce to deal damage and get out safely.

Ability 3 - Ensnaring Claw

Bastet sends a cat forwards, damaging and rooting the enemy hit. The cat will then chase and attack nearby enemies, slowing them.

Ensnaring Claw is used to lock down your opponent's location, and to set up your Razor Whip. Use it to close the gap between you and the enemy.

Ultimate - Huntress of Bast

Bastet becomes CC immune and launches a projectile. If it hits an enemy god, it will stun them and drag them towards her location. A small quicksand pool then forms under affected the enemy, hindering their movement lightly while dealing damage.

Huntress of Bast is used to snipe enemies from a distance and drag them towards you. It is a powerful tool at punishing enemy positioning, as they will be pulled straight into the center of your team. Use it every chance you get!

Ability Rotations:

Long Range Poke:

Pounce > Ensnaring Claw > Razor Whip > Pounce

You could chase with Auto Attacks instead of returning if the enemy looses too much health.

Blinked On:

Huntress of Bast > Razor Whip > Ensnaring Claw > Pounce

Tips:

Use Huntress of Bast to snipe enemy gods which lack CC immunity, and your aim should be to drag them towards your team.

Ensnaring Claw is capable of tanking towers and pheonix shots, you can throw it aggressively into a tower and dive with Pounce and Razor Whip, and escape without taking tower damage (unless the enemy intentionally attacks the cat, but if they do so then it means they aren't hitting you).

When fighting the enemy jungler, use Ensnaring Claw and Razor Whip, but think twice about using Pounce. Many of them can follow you with blink, and you are best saving the ability for a safe disengage. Only use it aggressively if you are capable of finishing them off with the damage of Pounce

Jungle Tutorial

Early Game:
  • Star at the Fire Giant side Speed Buff (or Red Buff), and group up the jungle camps with your mid laner. Once the Red and Speed buff jungle camps are cleared together, head towards your remaining speed buff. Your mid laner should help you clear this buff camp. Finally, head towards the exp camp near the Tier 1 Mid tower, presume you will clear this alone.

  • You now have 2 choices. You can stay in the Jungle towards the mid lane, looking for a gank on the enemy mid laner or clear the Mid-Harpies. The second option is to head straight to duo lane, and look for a gank on the enemy duo lane (and clear Scorpion). Heading to Duo lane has a greater risk, but much greater reward if successful.

  • Bastet has a strong early fight, as she can deal damage from afar and escape easily. Your only threat is the enemy jungler using Blink Rune, so be aware of them waiting for your Pounce to be on cooldown.

  • Bastet has powerful sidelane ganks, as she has high mobility with Ensnaring Claw to CC her enemies. Be aggressive, and use Blink Rune to look for opportunities.

  • Wander around the map with a focus of: Buff Camps > Rotations > Harpies.

  • Your ultimate Huntress of Bast is very powerful against enemies who cannot immune it. Frequently, this is the enemy support and jungler, as one of them wants blink and the other one may lack CC immunity. Try to corner camp these people with your team!

Mid Game:
  • Begins around ~14 minutes, or when most people have hit Level 12 and unlocked their Second Relic. Most enemy teams have gotten around to warding by now, and team fights become increasingly common. Most builds have started to show effectiveness.

  • Bastet still deals a large amount of damage in the mid game, but you are vulnerable to being blinked on once your Pounce has been used.

  • Group up for team fights and look to dive the enemy backline. Bastet is unique where very few characters can run away from her, as her chase is one of the strongest in the game. Use this to your advantage, and if you see an opportunity, hard-dive them.

  • Before the fights begin, lightly poke the enemies, but try to not loose your relics. You could blind ult with Huntress of Bast, as you may force a fight yourself by grabbing a tank or someone's relics.

Late Game:
  • Almost everybody has hit Level 20, Fire Giant is the most important objective on the map. Starter items become unlocked at Level 20, which results in a damage/defensive spike. This means that everybody dies faster, and Team Fights are the most important thing.

  • During Fire Giant fights, play with your team. Only dive the backline if your solo laner is doing the same thing, otherwise play to keep the enemy jungler away from your team. Your Huntress of Bast is now more dangerous than ever, as getting grabbed is almost surely a death sentence. If you see your opportunity, Pounce in.

  • For the Siege fights, you are better off staying with your team and group pushing the phoenix together. If someone on your team forces the relics of an enemy, you can swoop in with Huntress of Bast and end the fight before it even begins.

  • Your team play is very powerful, so don't feel forced to fight the jungler in the 1v1, as it can be risky at this stage of the game.

Warding

Green = Early/Rotational wards, you don't go out of your way to place these wards. Place them while already in the area, they are used to prevent blind spots while you rotate. They also double as objective wards

Blue = Late game wards, you want to place them as high as possible without getting caught by the enemy doing so. They cut off chokepoints on the enemies side, which lets you know which side of the map they are on. Good wards for a Fire Giant fight

Final Advice

Bastet is a mobile assassin who excels at hit-and runs, but can also full commit to the enemies. She has one of the strongest dives in the game, and characters without a dash feel unplayable into her. She pressures almost all of the junglers (except for a few listed) in the early/mid, and has a very safe late. Bastet is a very rewarding character to learn, and she will reward your commitments back!
