Sol's kit is actually great for up close combat, with this build you will easily get top damage and top mitigated playing from solo. Every item gives some form of defense or sustain. From all the other builds i tested on Sol, this is the most consistent
Full cooldown + Full Pen% + Defense
Warlocks - no starter, Provides alot of health, easy to stack in solo, and 10% pen. You can get this by the next time your blue comes up, teleport back in and start stackin
Shoes of Focus - Cooldown, u want to abuse Sol's 1 (25% missing heal) and 2
Pridwen - at this point your unkillable in solo, too much sustain, constant healing, you only die if u take risk or if ur behind
Mantle of Discord - If your winning build charons first. Now you have full cooldown and a bunch of sustain, you still do damage but mana will be an issue
Damage, Defense, Sustain, Pen, Cooldown
Charons coin - Solves your mana issue, provides alot of hp5 adding to your sustain, 20% pen, and the best defense of all, speed. Depending on how you and your team are doing, you can get this before mantle to start stacking and/or keep the winning momentum going
Pythagorems piece - Caps your pen%, adds even more health, and 24% lifesteal
Spirit Robe - Replace boots with this at the end, more defense and cooldown

ALTERNATIVE ITEMS (cut out Pyhtagorems Piece)
Mystical Mail - If your going against a 4 physicals Starting with this in solo is really fun. As cheap as it is now (10/21/2020) you can get it before blue comes back up, suprise the enemy with your tankiness/damage, and get an easy kill
Divine Ruin - If theres alot of healing on the enemy team this is nessacary unfortunatly, get it whenever you feel you need it but switch out Pythag's slot
Building full damage Sol you dont get to maximize her damage output on her 1 or her 3
With this Hybrid build you want to be as up close and bait people into boxing you, people dont expect Sol's heal and ability damage to be that high with this build, but it is. Especially when they're taking all the tick damage
1 - If you cant avoid an ability and you havent used your 1 yet, wait until you get hit, then hit your 1 to heal as much as you can out of it. The lower your health, the more you heal. Either way the cooldown is very low but yknow, maximize
2 - poke poke poke poke poke
3 - Probably Sol's best ability, so many uses for it. Use this to speed out of harms way, or bait the enemy. Late game one of my favorite uses is using this in combination with charons coin, to distract the enemy team for as long as possible while my team gets FG. Combined with Sol's ult, its like 2 built in beads making it extremely hard for anyone to catch you.
After Poking and tanking in a team fight, use this to exit and spam your 1 until you can go back in.
When your low health and someones on you, as soon as you exit your 3, ult, then use all your other abilities
4 - mostly use to burst a squishy, but when nessacary, to get out of danger. With Full cooldown it comes back up pretty fast
With this build, you can tank for your team, and still 1 shot squishies. People will often not respect your Sustain and Squishies feel comfortable joining their frontline trying to get you. Combo your ult with your 2 (and 1 if you can) and you can 1 shot the mage/jg/carry, while still having plenty of health to show for it
